Forever Friends Fortnightly Challenge No 58 - One for the Girls

Hi Everyone

Hurrah - it's a short two weeks at work this week and next as the Easter Holidays are almost here and we have a caravan booked in the New Forest. Please keep everything crossed that the weather warms up a bit and it doesn't rain!

Today sees the start of the new Fortnightly challenge at Forever Friends and this time the theme is .........
One for the Girls and this challenge is sponsored by

and

For full details on the sponsors and to details on the prizes for the winners of the challenge pop over to our Forever Friends challenge blog.

Here is my card and I've used the Princess Zella image from Saturated Canary. I have been itching to colour this image for a little while but I was worried that I wouldn't be able to colour her hair or the dress well. Ok, here she is......

I really quite like this colour combo together I've not used it before. I did try to add some more flowers but it just didn't look right, but I think its girly enough -well for one of my cards anyway!

I've also made an FF card for this challenge for a friend's birthday that is in a few weeks time and here it is:-

I've used one of the new FF Kraft stamps (and I bought some more from the Range yesterday - Don't tell Brent!!) - Full details below.

I look forward to seeing your comments - don't forget to enter our challenge at Forever Friends

Wedding Congratulations

Hello Everyone

Hope you are all well. I can now share this little card that I made a couple of weeks ago as I made it for a friend of ours who got married yesterday - Congratulations Angela and Mr P! I hope they've opened all their cards by the time this post has gone live!

I bought a few of the First Edition paper pads a little while ago and one of them was the Up and Away paper pad. I found this perfect digistamp over at Wee Stamps which matched the papers perfectly - and was apt for a wedding card.

Here is the finished card

How cute are these two little bugs! I can see me using this image again! The greens/blues and browns all work really well together I think - I hope you all like it!

Looking forward to reading all your comments a bit later

See you around again soon  - and congratulations again Angela!

Just for you.....Cheers!

Hello Everyone!

Look at me doing a blogpost in the middle of the day! I had to take a day's holiday today as we had a new mattress delivered. It actually turned up before 8am so I could have gone into work after all, but well I decided I'd still have the day off! As it was delivered so early I was even at the Swimming Pool before 9am! And what to do for the rest of the day.....well of course I've spent the time in Crafty Corner! So far I've made two cards (one to follow shortly in April) and I'm just about to start another for the Forever Friends Design Team Challenge Blog.

Here is my first card for today and its for a friends birthday that is at the beginning of April - I'm sure he will like it as he does like a pint or two!

I've used the Alf with Beer digistamp from Digistamp Boutique and some of the new papers from Nitwits that I've just bought from LOTV.

Right, off to do a bit of printing and I can't wait till bedtime!

Paris Girl.......Beret Marci

Hello Everyone

At last it's nearly the end of the working week -and the weekend can't come quick enough! I've made this card over the last couple of nights and for once it is not for any design team or for anyone's birthday, I made it just because I wanted to! And, apart from the ribbon, cute Eiffel Tower charm and gems this whole card is Digital! I bought the papers as a download from Carta Bella and also used Beret Marci from LaLa Land. Look at me I've used pink and I really quite like this one - don't get any ideas about me always using pink though! Had bad experiences using downloaded papers before but I can recommend these ones, they printed perfectly and I love the edge details on them. So here is my card.......

Cute isn't she! What do you think??

Right better head off to bed now - look out for another blog post tomorrow!

Commissioned Wedding Card

Hi Everyone

Have you all had a good weekend? The sun finally popped out to say hello this afternoon so we took the dogs out for a nice afternoon stroll - soon gets chilly as soon as the sun goes down though! Spurs where on the TV this afternoon so while Brent was pre-occupied I popped into Crafty Corner to finish this card. I've used the new Love Me Do digi-stamp from Wee Stamps......

I wasn't really sure what colour scheme to use so I went with purple/lilacs. Printed the image a bit big so there wasn't really any room for flowers so I added a heart charm instead! I've also added some stickles to all the flowers but you can't really tell that from this photo unfortunately. I hope Debbie and the Happy Couple like this.

Off to watch the Dancing on Ice results show and get ready for work tomorrow :0(

Catch up with you all soon
